What is EpicBiome Pets?

EpicBiome Pets is a Pre + Postbiotic formula designed to improve your pet’s gut health — the foundation of their immunity, digestion, skin and overall vitality.

Prebiotics = food for good gut bacteria
Postbiotics = beneficial compounds produced by these bacteria (like butyrate) that directly support your pet’s body

EpicBiome Pets = fermented + activated

  • 1000+ metabolites (tested)
  • Ready-to-use beneficial compounds
  • No need to “wait” for probiotic bacteria to work

Tested with advanced metabolite profiling
Result: 1000+ active compounds identified

Is Your Pet Experiencing Any Of These?

Many dogs and cats struggle with gut imbalance without owners realizing it.

Common signs include:

• Sensitive stomach or loose stools
• Digestive discomfort
• Skin irritation or itching
• Low energy or slower recovery

These issues can sometimes be linked to an imbalanced gut microbiome, which plays an important role in overall health.

Give My Pet Better Gut Health

Why Gut Health Matters

The gut does more than digest food.

Over 70% of your pet’s immune system lives in the gut.

When the microbiome becomes imbalanced, it can affect:

• Immunity
• Digestion
• Skin health
• Energy and recovery

Gut support may also be helpful for pets experiencing stress, medication use, or recovery from illness or treatments such as chemotherapy.

By improving the gut, you support the whole body.

Why EpicBiome Pets is Different

  • Pre + Postbiotic formula (not just probiotics)
  • Naturally diverse microbiome support
Unlike typical probiotics with a few selected strains, EpicBiome Pets is derived from a natural fermentation process (similar to kefir or kombucha), providing a broad spectrum of beneficial compounds
  • Supports your pet’s existing gut ecosystem
Instead of forcing a few strains into the gut, we help nourish and balance what’s already there
  • Delivers postbiotics directly
So your pet gets the benefits without relying only on live bacteria survival
  • Supports butyrate production for gut, skin & immune health

Think of it as supporting the whole gut ecosystem — not just adding a few bacteria.

🔬 Why Postbiotics?

Most pet gut supplements focus on probiotics, but they can be fragile and may not always survive stomach acid.

Postbiotics are different: beneficial compounds produced during fermentation that help support the gut microbiome directly.

Benefits of postbiotics include:

✔ Stable and shelf-friendly
✔ Bioactive compounds already produced
✔ Supports gut balance directly

This makes postbiotics an exciting next-generation approach to microbiome support.

Switch to Postbiotics

Why fermentation matters:

Beneficial compounds from foods like berries often need to be transformed by the gut microbiome before the body can fully utilise them — and this process can vary.

Research suggests that only around 30% of individuals efficiently convert certain plant compounds (such as those found in berries and pomegranate) into their active postbiotic metabolites through gut microbial activity.

Because this conversion is not always consistent, controlled fermentation helps generate a range of postbiotic compounds in advance — so pets can receive these functional benefits more directly, without relying entirely on their own gut conversion.

Tested On My Own Dogs First

3 dogs, 3 different needs — from allergies to surgery recovery

🐾 Severe Grass Allergies (Sheltie, 6 years old)

Cap used to have really bad grass allergies — it was easily a 10 out of 10. She was always itchy, red, and scratching all the time.

We started with Cytopoint, but it wasn’t enough. We even had to add Apoquel to help control it.

After giving this consistently, things slowly improved.

Now her allergies feel like only 0.5 to 1 out of 10. She still runs in the grass, but she’s okay — no big flare-ups, no constant scratching.

The biggest change is that she hasn’t needed Cytopoint or Apoquel for over 2 years.

🐾Cancer, Surgery & Recovery (Sheltie, 14 years old)

Chili my 14-year-old has been through a lot — cancer and multiple surgeries over the past few months and fractures from a freak accident.

She takes a few supplements, so I know it’s not just one thing. But after adding this, I noticed she was doing really well overall.

Her healing has been smooth, her fur grows back quickly, and her energy is still good.

Even the vet has commented on how well she is healing, and friends often say she doesn’t look or act her age.

I’m just really grateful to see her still so strong.

🐾 Post-Surgery Support (German Shepherd, 15 years old)

My dad's German Shepard Gita recently had surgery to remove a growth on her back. During her recovery, this was the only new thing I added to her food. Everything else stayed the same.

She healed nicely, stayed comfortable, and recovered steadily. What really surprised me was how quickly she went back to her normal self.

Even at 15, she is still lively — moving around well, wanting to explore, and even jumps up and down whenever she see food or toys.

For a dog her age, after surgery, that means a lot to me.

It gave me peace of mind knowing I was supporting her in a simple way.

Why Do We Recommend Refrigeration?

EpicBiome Pets is a natural fermentation-based product. While the postbiotics are stable and do not lose effectiveness during delivery or short periods at room temperature (up to 1 week). We recommend refrigeration receiving to maintain optimal freshness.

At room temperature, natural fermentation may continue slightly, which can cause:

  • Pressure build-up when opened (a slight “fizz”)
  • Formation of white particles (natural postbiotic compounds)

These are completely normal and safe — refrigeration simply helps keep the product stable and consistent.

❤️ A Personal Story Behind EpicBiome Pets

EpicBiome Pets started from a very personal place — caring for my own dogs through different health challenges over the years.

It started from Cap's allergies where we focused on supporting her gut health, and later on to support Chili's overall wellbeing, resilience and immunity.

These experiences reinforced my belief that gut health plays an important role in supporting the health and vitality of our pets.

🧪 Developed Through Collaboration

EpicBiome Pets was originally developed by a nutritionist and fermentation specialist — also a longtime friend — whose gut health formulations have been used internationally for over 10 years.

After learning about the formula and its potential, we saw an opportunity to thoughtfully adapt it for pets, especially dogs and cats, to support their microbiome and overall wellbeing.

We have also collaborated with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) for further testing and research, including metabolite analysis as well as preliminary studies exploring its effects on cancer cells in laboratory settings.

This is our way of extending that same care to other pet parents who feel the same responsibility and love for their animals.

  • Black molasses

Fuel for Beneficial Microbes. Black molasses provides natural sugars and nutrients that help feed the microbes during the 16-month fermentation process, allowing them to produce beneficial postbiotic compounds. Most of the sugar is consumed by the microbes, so very little remains in the final product. This means it supports gut health without adding sugar for your pet.

  • How Sugar Works in Fermentation

The black molasses isn't here to sweeten the food for your dog or cat. Instead, they act as fuel for friendly microbes during fermentation, helping the fermentation process produce beneficial compounds like organic acids and postbiotics — similar to how traditional beverages like water kefir or kombucha are fermented.

FAQs

Is fermentation is bad for dogs (and does it contain alcohol?)

Our fermentation process is actually closer to something like vinegar, where the end result is organic acids (such as acetic acid–type compounds) and beneficial metabolites, rather than alcohol.

Fermentation can produce alcohol in some cases (like beer or kombucha), but in controlled processes like this, it’s further converted into acids — so the final product is non-alcoholic and focused on gut-supportive compounds instead.

Does it contains alcohol?

Alcohol is typically produced in yeast-based fermentation (like beer or wine), and even drinks like kombucha and kefir can contain small amounts of alcohol because of that process.

What we use is controlled bacterial fermentation, which focuses on producing beneficial compounds like organic acids and postbiotic metabolites instead.

So the end result is non-alcoholic — it’s actually closer to something like balsamic vinegar, where any alcohol formed during the process is further converted into acetic acid–type compounds, leaving essentially no alcohol in the final product.

Should I refrigerate EpicBiome Pets?

Yes, we recommend refrigerating after receiving to maintain optimal freshness and consistency.

As this is a natural fermentation-based product, refrigeration helps prevent excess gas build-up and the formation of white particles.

Will the quality be affected during unrefrigerated transit?

No. EpicBiome Pets remains stable and effective at room temperature during delivery (up to 1 week).

However, beyond this period, natural fermentation may continue, which can lead to slight pressure build-up or white particles forming.

What are the white floaties? Is it safe?

Yes, it is completely safe.

The white particles are natural by-products of fermentation (beneficial compounds, yeast, and bacteria).

They do not affect the quality or safety of the product — refrigeration simply helps reduce their formation.

Why is there sometimes a “fizz” when opening?

This is due to natural gas produced during fermentation.

It is similar to fermented foods like kefir or kombucha, and is completely normal and safe.

What are postbiotics?

Postbiotics are beneficial compounds produced by good bacteria as they feed on prebiotics (plant fibers that nourish them). During fermentation, these microbes generate enzymes, peptides, organic acids, polysaccharides, cell surface proteins, and more, which help support gut health, digestion, and immunity. Think of them as the bioactive “byproducts” of healthy bacteria at work— not live bacteria themselves.

How do postbiotics help my pet?

Postbiotics help:

  • Improve digestion and reduce bloating or diarrhea
  • Support a balanced gut microbiome
  • Strengthen immune system function by stimulating regulatory T cells in the intestines
  • Reduce inflammation via anti-inflammatory chemical messengers called cytokines
  • Enhance the potency of probiotics
  • Contribute to overall vitality and wellbeing

What is the best time to give EpicBiome Pets?

It can be given at any time of the day, with or without food.

How are postbiotics different from probiotics?

Probiotics are the live bacteria themselves, intended to have health benefits when consumed. Postbiotics, on the other hand, are the compounds those bacteria produce during fermentation. Postbiotics are stable, non-living.

Does EpicBiome Pets contain live probiotics?

No — the fermentation process in EpicBiome Pets has fully converted the probiotics into postbiotic compounds. This means there are no live probiotics left in the formula, only the beneficial compounds your pet’s gut can use.

What are prebiotics, and how do they work?

Prebiotics are indigestible plant fibers that feed beneficial gut bacteria. When good bacteria consume prebiotics during fermentation, they produce postbiotics, which are the compounds that support gut health, digestion, and immunity. In EpicBiome Pets, ingredients like green papaya, mulberry, and rice bran act as natural prebiotics.

Are the ingredients safe and natural?

Yes — all ingredients in EpicBiome Pets are organic and non-GMO. They’re carefully fermented to produce bioactive postbiotic compounds that support your pet’s digestive, immune, and overall health.

Can postbiotics improve immunity in pets?

Yes — postbiotics can have immunomodulatory effects, helping regulate immune responses, stimulate regulatory t-cells in the intestines, reduce inflammation by producing cytokines, and support infection prevention. They also help the gut produce compounds that strengthen overall immune function.

Are there other health benefits of postbiotics?

Research suggests postbiotics may also:

  • Reduce cardiovascular risk
  • Reduce symptoms of gut disorders like IBS
  • Support healthy digestion, nutrient absorption, and gut lining integrity

Can humans take EpicBiome Pets?

Yes! EpicBiome Pets is made with organic, non-GMO ingredients and contains only beneficial postbiotic compounds. While it’s formulated for pets, the ingredients are safe for humans — though the product is not intended as a replacement for human supplements.

Can my dog overdose if they take too much?

Nope — there’s no known “overdose” risk with this.

In fact… funny story.
A certain someone we know came home slightly drunk🍻, sorry, I meant overenthusiastic… and drank almost the entire bottle straight from the fridge.

No issues, no drama — and woke up the next day feeling surprisingly human again. (We’re not saying it’s a hangover cure… but we’re also not not saying it)

That said, more isn’t always better. Stick to the recommended serving for your dog — it’s more than enough to support their gut health.

Is it suitable for sensitive stomachs?

For sensitive pets, it’s always best to introduce anything new gradually.

You can start with a smaller amount (as it is easy to do so with the liquid dropper form) and slowly build up over time. If your dog eats twice a day, you can also split the daily amount into 2 servings — this tends to be gentler on the gut.

Most dogs adapt well when introduced slowly, and this approach helps minimise any temporary sensitivity as their system adjusts 👍

Can my pet take this while on medication or undergoing treatment (e.g. chemotherapy)?

EpicBiome Pets is designed to support overall gut health and recovery.

Some studies suggest gut support may help reduce common side effects such as low appetite, low energy, and digestive discomfort.

However, we recommend consulting your veterinarian if your pet is undergoing medical treatment.

Can it be used externally (skin, wounds, rashes)?

Yes, it can be applied topically to support skin healing.

We recommend diluting 1:1 with filtered water and applying to the affected area 1–2 times daily.
